"This bundle of protection is designed exclusively for the little ones. This Raksha Bandhan gift them this Suraksha Kit that symbolises love and health.
The kit includes our a pair of crochet hair clip, a clip-on sanitizer pouch, an Ikkat reversible mask, Channapatna spinning top, all packed in an Ikkat waist pouch.
All the elements in this kit are thoughtfully designed and handcrafted with love by women from Craftizen’s Swayam Shakti unit in Bahadurpura (Hyderabad's largest slum). Many of them were previously rag pickers before joining our centre to get trained in different skills like tailoring, plastic upcycling, embroidery and folk painting. When you place an order with us, you help them earn a dignified income."
Craftizen Foundation was founded in 2014 with a vision to preserve and evolve Indian craft skills so that they remain an integral part of our cultural fabric. We focus on bridging the skill-income gap by providing market-driven, end to end support from technical training to design development, setting up group enterprises and sustained marketing support to enable sustainable livelihoods for traditional artisans as well as marginalized communities.
