About me

I did a Masters in Fashion Management from NIFT and went on to work in the fashion sector. I have more than 10 years of experience in Business Development, Marketing, Branding, Fashion Merchandising in India, US and China. I am also certified in Entrepreneurship and leadership from Chrysalis. I have also been a delegate at Australia India Youth Dialogue 2019. Being a startup enthusiast as well as a social worker i have volunteered in various non-profits like Headstart, Kalkeri Sangeet Vidhyalaya, Spic Macay, Jagriti Yatra etc. I always inspires women to dream big and start giving importance to their aspirations. That is the first step towards change.

Abira Creations

Started in December 2015, Abira believes that one day every woman will become stronger and more confident especially in controlling her life. It is a 100% women organization. Abira is an incubation center for marginalized women which trains and connects them to local job opportunities. We work on building the capacity of design, marketing and production of groups of marginalised women. Abira also sells handcrafted fashion accessories, made by marginalised women in Maharashtra, to retail fashion brands and invest back the profits in their development. Over 1000 women have been trained so far and 170+ women have been working full-time or part-time with us in fashion products manufacturing.
